How to search Importers/ Buyers

For business to business (B2B) buyers, search engines are the primary research source, and one of the top influencers on purchasing decisions.

1  You can contact buyers either by email or by phone searching in the B2B websites . Some B2B websites are

http://www.Alibaba.com ( common site related to all type of products)

http://www.petshopy.com ( particularly related to Pet & Horse Accessories)

http://www.tradekey.com (common site related to all type of products)

http://www.kompass.com (common site related to all type of products)

There are so many B2B sites . You can register free at these websites & contact buyers. Most of the site operators contact you to become paid member after about one month or so. But you can tell them that we are new in this business & not interested to become paid member at this stage. When youstart getting messages from the buyers then you pay to the sites of your interest.

2  Whether you live in any country , you can contact buyers searching through these B2B search engines

3  In the beginning the best way to contact the buyer is email. Try to write a short message of 4-5 lines in the email. The big messages look like spam messages & no one bother to read such messages & delete before reading them.

4  The best way to create your product price list is in excel format. If products are less then you can send prices to the buyer via email also.

5  You can also search buyers via search engines. The main search engine is http://www.google.com

6  There are mainly three ways to search buyers via google search engine : Web, Images, Map

i)  Write your product related keyword ( if you deal in pet accessories then type pet accessories or dog collar or related keyword) in google web search. & enter . You can find a lot of results that continue to 50-100 pages

ii)  Similarly Write your product related keyword in google image search. & enter . You can find a lot of results with images . This is an easy way to see your product related buyers as you can easily recognize the product . This also continue to 50-100 pages

iii)  Third way is google map search. First of all make a list of all the cities in a country . Then you can search your product keyword with cities in google map one by one eg if you deal in pet accessories & want to search buyers in California, USA then type in search box Pet shop California.There you can find different company name , address , email, web of company on left side & on right side you can find the company on map also.

Note : Avoid going abroad in the beginning. You do not have to waste money & time going abroad in search of buyers in the beginning of the business. You can search buyers via B2B sites & via search engines. & become paid member of the b2b site of your interest. You can easily find out a lot of buyers from these.
